Our Services
Bole Project
The Bole project started in 2017 G.C at Bole Addis school. The aim of the project was focused on the selected number of students who are living in poverty that were not able to afford a healthy meal. The program lasted for two years and was a success in providing a meal for students twice a day five times a week, in a calendar year. What started as a feeding program has now grown in to, tutoring service for the students, special holiday celebration, building sponsor relationships, and lastly, case management.
Reunification
Since opening our doors to the center in 2014 G.C Hold my Hand has reunified several kids back to their parents. The majority of these kids came to Addis either in search of a better life or left their homes due to conflict. The reunification journey at Hold my Hand is one that excites us all, and we are most proud of. We believe that it is essential that a child grows in a family with a healthy environment; thus, we take it very seriously, reunifying our kids back with their family. After Hold my Hand reunifies kids with their family, our best effort is put in place to ensure that each kid does not find themselves in the same predicament. Hold my Hand has been supporting kids that live in poverty after reunification by helping them with school, mentorship, and groceries.
Foster Care
At our forever home children are provided with shelter, food, education, and also the opportunity to have an extracurricular activity. Every child is required to attend school for as long as they’re staying at the center. Children are also provided with medical attention as needed, leisure time, and vacations. Upon entry and periodically, each child receives counseling and mentorship. Each child is offered the opportunity to be matched up with mentors that will help and guide them as long as they choose. This service is also provided if they choose to remain in contact after reunification
