About Hold My Hand
Hold My Hand is an Ethiopian resident charity organization estab- lished in 2014. The organization was founded by three university students concerned about increasing number of homeless youth in the Bole sub-city area of Addis Ababa. Hold My Hand started as a weekend support group in 2013 and has since become a permanent shelter for boys and girls. Hold My Hand partners with organizations like PIFE to expand its services, which include foster care, family reunification, and support for at-risk homeless boys.
Mission Statement: "Hold My Hand Charity is committed to provid- ing comprehensive support to vulnerable children, including those from the streets and underprivileged families, by offering shelter, education, nutrition, life skills, and emotional support. We strive to create an environment where these children can grow, thrive, and reach their potential."
Vision Statement: "To cultivate a future where every child in Ethio- pia, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to lead a fulfilling, productive, and secure life."
